Naturalized Blue Ring Angelfish (Pomacanthus annularis) in observation frame
PU1206-7
An angel fish under a magnifying glass: a dive into the details of a tropical reef. It is recognizable by its bright blue and curved bands on a yellow-orange background, typical of the species Pomacanthus annularis. Native to the reefs of the Indian and Western Pacific Oceans.
It lives in lagoons and reef falls, between 3 and 30 meters deep. Its natural colour, particularly vivid, does not resist the process of taxidermy: a careful repainting has therefore been carried out to restore its characteristic contrasts.
This specimen is displayed alongside a small red gorgon.
