Amethyst geode (10kg) on black base

This Brazilian wonder is absolutely natural: an air pocket in the middle of volcanic lava (basalt) was successively filled with water loaded with silicates and oxides, according to the rains and infiltrations. This gave birth to this line of white agate and green chlorite all around this geode. With the heat and a lot of time, quartz crystals have grown, completely lining the walls of this geode. The oxidation of iron gave this beautiful purple colour. This geode, unique, dates back several million years.
