Amethyst Geode on sliding machine
PUMI2599
This beautiful round geode is Brazilian and comes from the amethyst deposits of Rio Grande do Sul. But what makes it rare are these crystals of white calcite that were formed in a second step, and which contrast with the violet tips of amethyst. The calcite, less common in these formations, adds a touch of originality and rarity to this unique piece.
From the outside, this amethyst geode could go unnoticed, with its crude and unremarkable look. But at Objet de Curiosité, we know that the real beauty is inside. To enhance this natural jewel, the geode was sawn into two precise halves, allowing you to discover its hidden interior. We fixed each half-geode on a brass rack mechanism, resting on a black oak base. The geode can be opened and closed by a gear mechanism, transforming this presentation into a tactile and visual experience.
We act, discover, admire and discover a treasure that nature conceals under modest appearances.
