Amethyst geode – Brazil (4.2 kg)
PUMI2452-2
Unlike tall, cathedral-shaped geodes, this amethyst specimen reveals a more organic silhouette. Partially enclosed, it has been sliced open to unveil a dense, irregular cluster of violet crystals—thick, compact, and seemingly still in motion.
Its growth likely occurred in the stable environment of ancient basaltic flows from southern Brazil. The pale outer matrix, exposed in places, highlights the depth and intensity of the amethyst’s purple hues.
Set on a black base, the piece strikes a balance between natural ruggedness and crystalline brilliance.
