116 KG semi polished ammonite from Madagascar

Semi-polished huge ammonite from Madagascar of 140 Million years old. The species is Haploceras Carachtheis, and the fern pattern all around is in fact the deep part of the shell that is just under the MOP layer of this prehistoric sea-shell. That's the way its shell is intricated, and how it is became strong. This incredible size for a sea shell doesn't exist anymore on earth (116Kg!)
