Taxidermy of K. Pellucida Bat in a round reliquary
AN452
The lclear-winged woolly bat is interesting to discover on both sides, for this reason we presented it in a bumpy glass reliquary. Kerivoula Pellucida is a bat found in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. She spends her days in the canopy of the primary forests. This one was collected in April 2023 in East Java. Its clear wings are quite unique and allow easy identification, with its white fur belly. It is active at night and catches insects in flight, thanks to its echo-location sonar. The ears are quite small, and the "taill" between its hind legs is rather short, making it look like a "wingsuite".
