Black on black. Papilio deiphobus is a species of machaon butterfly. It is one of the few to be practically all black. At least on the upper side, because if he closes his wings, he shows red patterns on the lower part. It is found from the Molluccas Islands to the Sulawesi in Indonesia. The wingspan is 130-160 millimeters. Larvae feed on citrus species. And the dark bronze metal base, almost black, reinforces this dark side that also goes well with a bouquet of flowers.
