9 Red PAPILIO RUMANZOVIA butterflies
IN349
PAPILIO RUMANZOVIA, also known as the Scarlet Mormon, is a large swallowtail butterfly native to the Philippines. The males display a striking contrast: velvety black forewings and vivid crimson markings on the hindwings. Females show more variable patterns, making this species a fine example of sexual dimorphism within the Papilionidae.
In this composition, nine male specimens are arranged symmetrically beneath a round glass dome. The perforated brass base reveals a band of red, echoing the vibrant color of the butterflies. Assembled in our Lyon workshop, this display can be customised on request: different species, colors, or arrangements. Like on the 2 last pictures.
