Fossilized Giant Tortoise Egg extinct from Madagascar.
PUFO452
The giant tortoise Aldabrachelys abrupta, was over 120cm long and used to live along the coast and on some of the iNorthern slands of Madagascar. It is believed to have disapeared around year 1200 (800 years ago). So, litteraly it is more a sub-fossil, than a fossil. Not only you can see it through the stylish glass box, but you can also open the door and the egg will be pulled-out of it's display case.
Though it has not been carbon-dated, it could be 3000 years old, as the oldest shell remains that have been dated.
