This 90 million year old fossil is displayted in a simple metal structure. This species Mammites nodosoides, lived in Turonian age, during the Late Cretaceous.
It had a characteristic shell with these "umbilical bullae", which are the outgrowths distributed along its sides. This prehistoric predator of the cephalopod family is now highlighted by this thin frame of black metal. Locked up, but free.
