Sodalite ball,in spinning brass stand

MI148

Brazilian sodalite is the most intense colour form of this mineral of the silicate group. It is also found in Namibia and Bolivia. It is one of the constituents of lapis lazuli with which it is often confused. This ball has been polished in a Brazilian block and therefore presents some white veins that dot several shades of blue: from sky blue to intense cobalt blue. Its nuances are even better perceived by rotating it on itself thanks to this brass gyroscopic stand.
