Carnelian ball, spinning brass stand
MI152
Cornaline is above all sought after for its intense vermilion colour. It is a mineral of the Agates family (the silicates), and it is slightly translucent. This sphere was polished in Madagascar from a very intense vein in colour which also has more orange zones, depending on the proportion of aluminum oxide and iron. Its nuances are even better perceived by rotating it on itself thanks to this brass gyroscopic stand.
