The Italian Paesina is as beautiful as it is intriguing! This «pictural» stone was formed step by step, 70 million years ago. This sedimentary rock, mainly made of compact limestone and clay, has undergone many tectonic movements throughout the ages, creating micro-cracks through which manganese and iron oxides have infiltrated.
The intense chromatic variations affect the outer layers, while the center remains more uniform, creating poetic cloud-like horizons on a beige background.
