Split SCOLOPENDRA SUBSPINIPES under glass dome, brass base. This impressive centipede from Thailand consists of 22 stacked segments, each of them have a pair of legs, with a total of 25cm in length. Very aggressive, the centipede paralyzes his preys thanks to his venom, but keep calm, the poison is only dangerous if you're smaller than a rat!
This scientific display invented by Edmée François Chauvot de Beauchêne in the 19th century, allows the spectator to understand how is a subject built : each part of the body is separated with a small piece of brass showing us how this huge centipede is articulated!
