Labradorite is mainly mined in Madagascar, specifically in the province of Antananarivo, located in the centre of the island.
This stone is known for its dazzling color scheme, which seems to emanate from inside the stone itself. Its reflections are shimmering and range from deep blue to emerald green to golden yellow and purple. What really makes Labradorite special is its fascinating optical phenomenon called "Labradorescence". When exposed to light, colourful flashes of lightning appear to dance on the surface of the stone, creating an almost magical visual experience.
