NWA 859 meteorite from Taza (Morocco), 310 g
PUMI2713
Discovered in 2001 in the Taza region of Morocco, this meteorite belongs to the family of ferrous chondrites. Highly magnetic, it naturally attracts small magnets – which inspired this playful display, a nod to the iconic studded Louboutin shoes. An amusing touch that also highlights a genuine physical property.
Scientifically, NWA 859 is unusual: it does not fit neatly into any of the established chondrite groups. This “unclassified” status makes it a singular specimen, a fragment of a celestial body whose exact history remains partly unknown. A little more than 70Kg have been listed so far.
Displayed in a collector’s glass case, resting on a black silk cushion that enhances its preciousness, this stone from space becomes as much a contemplative object as a conversation piece.
Objet de Curiosité exclusivity.
