Seymchan meteorite (IRON with SCHREIBERSITE) 0.75kg
Discovered in 1967 near the town of Seymchan, in the Magadan region of Russia, this METEORITE belongs to the group of IRON meteorites, composed mainly of IRON and NICKEL.
It also contains SCHREIBERSITE — a rare metallic phosphide ((Fe,Ni)₃P) found only in meteorites and certain lunar rocks.
The SEYMCHAN is remarkable for its dual nature: some sections are purely metallic, while others include OLIVINE crystals, revealing a transition between the core and the mantle of an ancient ASTEROID.
Its internal structure, marked by the characteristic Widmanstätten pattern, makes it a natural curiosity and an essential collection specimen for any cabinet of curiosities.
