Smoky quartz with recrystallization, presented in a cage
PUMI2577
This 1.5Kg smoky quartz originates from the mineral deposits of Brazil, a region known for its diverse crystalline formations. Its smoky hue results from natural exposure to radiation within the Earth’s crust, a common phenomenon in this type of quartz. The visible recrystallization on its surface reflects a geological process where new crystals form on an existing structure after the air pocket where they "growned" has been one more time filled with water loaded with Calcite.
An authentic geological specimen, showcased in a simple contemporary structure.
