Moroccan amber aragonite ball, on brass and marble stand
PUMI2355-4
This planet on a brass and marble stand comes from Morocco and is in Aragonite. It is in any case under this name that we discovered it in the region of Séfrou in the north of Morocco. It is therefore a variety of banded Calcite that takes exactly the colors of the famous Moroccan Aragonite which, is usually taking the shape of tabular crystals that grow in all directions. The alternating layers of amber and light make it especially graphic when cut into spheres.
