AN427
Hexaplex nigritus is a species of sea snail. It is known as the black and white murex shell. They range Cabo san Lucas in Mexico to Baja California, and throughout the Sea of Cortez. Their primary prey are barnacles and bivalves; in turn they are preyed upon by crabs, fish, and sea stars. They could be bigger, but on shelf, they make their little effect!
