Two heart-shaped seashells under a mini glass dome
PU1180-1
The perfect romance at 30 meters deep on the island of Bantayan in the Philippines. Under a black mini globe, we placed two heart-shaped shells from the Cebu region. These specimens, from the family Glossidae, genus Meiocardia, species Cumingi, have two perfectly intact valves that naturally form a heart. Discovered in the warm waters of the Pacific, these shells are an interesting example of natural symmetry. And for those who appreciate nature’s little winks, they might even serve as a subtle way to declare one’s love.
