Lemon shark -Negaprion brevirostris- skull on square stand
PU428
Shark jaws are usually presented alone. Our achievement is to have kept the entire cartilage skeleton of the head. This allows us to better understand the shape of this shark.
The lemon shark -Negaprion brevirostris- is a short-nosed shark, which can be seen on its skeleton. It is slightly yellow in color, which is a good camouflage above the sandy seafloor. Weighing up to 100kg and 3m. long by adulthood, it is found in warm seas on both sides of the Atlantic, or in all of the Caribbean ... Like all sharks they are highly sought after for their fins in Asia. This skull is a by-product. Protected species since 11/2023.
