Shell of a fresh water turtle from Louisiana: Trachemys Scripta. This turtle, called a slider turtle by the Americans, likes to sunbathe on a tree trunk at the edge of the water, and slip on its shell in case of danger. This very young turtle comes from a European park where she died prematurely.
