Jaw of shark Carcharhinus obscurus on brass baser
The dusky shark can be found in the three big oceans near the coast and in the wide (up to 400m deep) in warm waters. This species migrates.
It can reach 4m long and lives up to 40 years. This jaw is a sub-product of the shark fishery ( for shark fin soup, and the meat). Those jaws are not catched to make decorative items.
