exceptional group of Natural cubics pyrite- Spain
PUMI2032
An exceptional group of cubic pyrites. The pyrite, or fool's gold has more than ever its place in a cabinet of curiosity. Indeed, not only this metal imitates the color of gold but its perfect geometrical shape is natural. We find it in one mine in Spain, where these interlocking cubes can be detached from the soft matrix (marlstone) where they grew, 130 million years ago. The number of cubes that form this remarkable specimen is very important, and they are perfect: this pile of luxurious golden cubes existed as is in nature, only 3 meters underground. And we left it in partialy embeded in its original matrix. That makes it so valuable.
