This oval glass houses a true crystalline city, shaped by a balance between science and art.
Heated to 270°C, the bismuth ore is then slowly cooled, allowing its crystals to form fascinating geometric structures, reminiscent of Incan cities suspended in the realm of imagination.
The iridescent surface — with golden, violet, and green hues — is the result of a fine layer of oxidation occured after cooling. This transformation is based on a necessity: in nature, bismuth ore is often too diffuse to crystallize in this way, but its geometric richness deserved to be unveiled.
