giant starfish LINCKIA LAEVIGATA red 52cm.
PU940-23
This giant is a starfish approaching record size! Of the Linckia family, its arms are roughly cylindrical and its design is actually that of a star. But unlike Echinaster Sepositus, which is the red starfish found in the Mediterranean sea, it reaches here a wingspan of 45cm... You can see, not exactly in the center, a circle a little larger than the rest of the motifs of this star: the madreporic plate. It is through this organ that the starfish breathes and filters seawater. And this color is natural...of course.
