Red ear slider turtle
PU556
Taxidermy of a large fresh water turtle from Louisiana: Trachemys Scripta Scripta. This slider turtle loves to bath in the sun by the river side, sliding on its shell on the stones or tree log to jump in the water. The darker the shell is, the older the turtle is. The youngs have yellow and dark green patterns. This adult is a female, with shorts claws on its feet. Alive animals are now under the CITES regulation, as many countries consider them as invasive species: released into the wild, their interbreed with local species or simply imbalance life in rivers and ponds.
