Fragmented crab under glass display
PU766-2
The blue swimmer crab takes its name from the color of its legs when it is living underwater along the Japanese or Philippines coasts. The 2 lateral points of its shell are very representative of the Portunus family. It is presented here in the form of a fragment of Beauchêne, allowing to understand all the joints of this crab. This family of crab has been present on earth for more than 65 million years (the end of the Cretaceous), as evidenced by the fossils found both in Europe and in California.
