Chameleon FURCIFER PARDALIS (Madagascar) on barnacle goose egg
PU1047
Nicknamed Chameleon panther, this young female is native to Madagascar (but born in Hungary in an zoo). Depending on the region of Madagascar, males can develop very different colorations, ranging from bright pink in the south to turquoise blue on the island of Nosy Be. Females are a little less eccentric in colouring. Color changes reflect more emotions than camouflage. And its greater Canada goose egg was laid in a wildlife park in France.
