Naturalized fish -PERISTEDION sp.-

This fish is huge, looking almost like a crocodile: bony scales, eyes perched at the top of the skull: PERISTEDION sp. , the African armored searobin. At least it is larger than the bony searobins that can sometimes be found in the Mediterranean beyond 50 meters deep. It comes from the Philippines, and should therefore be a Peristedion orientale, but it was determined that their maximum size was 40cm, and this one exceeds 50cm. So would that be a record? That’s how far we are in our research.
