Charoite flame on black base -siberia-
PUMI1166
This intense violet flame is a complete vein of Charoïte. A rare Russian mineral, which is found only in one place in the world: in Siberia, in the Syenite mountains, far East in Yakutia. Rare and complex mineral: see its composition: K5Ca8(Si6O15)2(Si2O7)Si4O9(OH) 3(H2O), a silicate containing traces of strontium, barium, manganese! Charoïte has this unique color of purple-lavender with pearly reflections. This piece is polished, and this minerali was only described in 1978 by Rogov. A superb shape for a mineral that is more often found in small cabochon on a jewel.
