Fuchsite, a variety of muscovite, is characterized by its intense green color due to the presence of chromium. Mainly extracted from metamorphic rock formations in the state of Bahia, Brazil, it forms in chromium-rich environments under the influence of pressure and heat. This stone is named after the German mineralogist Johann Nepomuk von Fuchs, who studied it in the 19th century.
