3.1kg Manganocalcite (Peru), displayed in a UV lamp cage

This 3.1Kg block of Manganocalcite crystals comes from Peru, from the Huanzala mine. They are white, very slightly pink. But displayed in a black brass and metal cage that we have created, they completely transform before our eyes thanks to a fascinating property: its intense fluorescence under UV light. This group of crystals will take an intense pink color when you turn on the Ultra Violet lamp discreetly hidden in the upper part of this presentation cage. This is due to the presence of manganese, and it is found only in a few mineral specimens. This piece allows to clearly observe this scientific phenomenon, while responding to a refined and precious aesthetic. And this presentation also works in ambient light, as seen in these photos.
