This piece of blue fluorite, comes from the deposits of Montroc in the Tarn (France). Fluorite is a mineral that crystallizes as cubes nested on the cutting edges. This specimen has a pure blue hue, accompanied by yellow crystals, probably of barytin, visible under the fluorite. These mineral associations are typical of the deposits of the Tarn, although such examples have become rare.
