Citrine from Brazil with white calcite
PUMI2712
Originating from a fault in the Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) – region rich in colored quartz – this piece is part of a natural citrine geode, that is to say, an ex-amethyst geode whose iron oxides have naturally changed of color during periods of volcanic activity.
The surface is entirely covered with small tight crystals, but it has 4 or 5 clear calcite cubes that dot its surface.
The whole forms a harmonious mix between warm color, crystalline brightness and mineral geometry.
Mounted on a black base, this slice becomes a real geological curiosity—a rare conversation piece, a real object of curiosity.
