A Mako shark complete skull under glass. Amongst sharks the Mako is not the rarest species, but its shape is very typical of the image of shark mouth we all have in mind... Sharks are still over-fished for their fin. For years fishermen only kept the jaws, but this new preparation shows much more the animal shape. And this skull comes from a shark that has been catched for the fin in Plilippines islands. This over-fishing leaded to a protection of this species since 11/2023.
