Shell of a fresh water turtle from Louisiana: Trachemys Scripta Scripta. This slider turtle loves to bath in the sun by the river side, sliding on its shell on the stones or tree log to jump in the water. Preciously displayed on a 1940's inspired base, combination of Wenge, Teack, Wallnut and brass.The darker the shell is, the older the turtle is. The youngs have yellow and dark green patterns.
