Here is a peacock from Lyon on a black oak base. This majestic Blue Peacock native to India, lived in France, and in our latitudes, the males lose their long feathers in late summer. Then a new cycle starts again. It went out in December, before its tail reached its maximum size, and yet it is already a 110 cm long bird... And this specimen has beautiful mauve hues on its plumage (see the close-up on its tail). Pavo Cristatus is native to Rajasthan where you can see large groups landing in the trees at night to sleep.
