Protestudo is a genus of land tortoise that lived during Pliocene-Miocene period, North eastern China. Found with Miocene animal fauna like prehistoric horses and lions. Strenghtened by gypsum cast on the edge part for preventing breakings.This specimen comes from old collections exported from China in mid 80's.
