This curiosity is not as contemporary as it may look like. This very geometrical display is around 250 million years old. Leaves of a prehistoric tree: Neuropteris Cordata, from the end of the Carboniferous period. This fossil comes from Montceau les Mines, in France, where coal has been mined during 160 years, and stopped in year 2000. These specimens are part of an old collection from 1970.
