This astonishing mineral come from the "copper belt " of Kongo, in the Katanga province. A completely natural part of a geode made of hundred of small nodules, covered with needle-like crystals of green Malachite. Almost like velvet, when looked closely. But most of them turned into Chrysocolla. It happens in an oxidation zone of a copper mine. It is an evolution of the green Malachite.
