This stone will shows incredible silvery reflections when you make it turn on its brass base.Obsidian is formed by the rapid cooling of viscous lava that is extremely rich in silica. It has no crystal structure as it cools too fast to crystallise, a stone similar to a natural glass. Those silvery circles are ashes of the volcano that fell down in the hot lava. When polishing a round piece of this Mexican stone, we sometimes discover this layer... Volcano Tequila in Jalisco state.
