Brazilian Amethyst, 11.6Kg
PUMI1727
Down in the cold lava of a Brazilian volcano (Basalt), a buble of air made a small chamber. Much later, it has been filled by water leaking in the ground, loaded with Silicates and iron oxyds. With the heat, and a lot of time, crystals started to grow all around, with that great purple color due to the oxydized Iron.. There has been successive waves of infiltration, and different heating temperatures in this place. The result is just there: deep purple Amethyst.
