This amazing white star on a black background looks a lot like an edelweiss, yet artists from the Hubei province in China see a Chrysanthemum flower. This is a radial crystallization of white Calcite and Aragonite in a softer limestone matrix. The contrast between this white flower and the matrix is slightly improved the limestone matrix is darkened as it can be seen on the last picture. But it still is a natural phenomenon. .
