Dynaste Neptunus on baobab fruit

This male rhino beetle is from Colombia, where he lives in the cloudforest of the Andes mountains. This species -Dynastes Neptunus- needs 3 and a half years to go from the egg in the ground to this shinny male, ready to fight with other males to finaly mate with a female. Adult it will feed on rip fruits or sweet tree sap. They can even live up to one year, wich is rare for an insect.
And this Dynastes is standing on a fruit of Baobab tree (Adansonia Grandidieri) from Madagascar. The seeds of this 30 meters high giant tree are now protected by the Convention of Washington. This giant beetle on a giant seed is of course a perfectly legal curiosity.
