The pink quartz can turn out to be almost translucent, when it is worked enough. This slice, polished on both sides comes from Brazil. Rose quartz is a variety of quartz tinged by metallic oxides such as manganese, titanium or aluminum. When it is slightly milky, it can contain microinclusions of Dumortierite. In this case it will be denser in color, but less translucent, and without doubts, native of Madagascar.
