This very large fish from the tropical seas (2 to 5 metres long) has a "beak" which represents 1/3 of its length. Its name evokes a sword in all languages, even its scientific name -Xiphias gladius-. One of the fastest fish: 90Km/h when adult. He lives in the open sea and usually alone, a fan of social distancing! it maintains a distance of 10 meters with its congeners. Its very large eyes are made to spot its prey from afar, including in the darkness at 200 meters deep. It migrates all over the world.
