The famous Encyclopedia Britannica in an edition of 1875, the 9th edition. In English, of course. While the publishing house was based in Edinburgh, this monument to English culture was written by 100 full-time editors and external contributors. Edition 9 is considered one of the most serious and learned. The paper version was last published in 2010. These 223cm long are a testimony to the splendour of the scientific and cultural spirit of the British Kingdom at the end of the 19th century.
