Ammonite (Madagascar) on brass base

PUFO408

Cenoceras is an extinct genus within the cephalopod, so the mollusc family including the Nautilidae. This species of carnivorous prehistoric sea shell is a CENOCERAS SAKALAVUS from Madagascar during the Albian in lower Cretaceus (100 milion years old). The shell shows perfect "ribs" and has the original mother of pearl layer it used to have 100 Million years ago. Its curved shape makes you want to pet it, especially as it has been lightly polished. And carnivorous or not, nowadays you risk nothing!
